Martin is responsible for the global marketing organization and strategy. His focus is on awareness and demand creation as well as amplifying the Finastra brand values and open platform story. He is in charge for all communications and building long standing customer and partner relationships to inspire them to become advocates.

As a frequent commentator on Open Banking and Open Finance, Martin believes that the open technology movement will empower people, businesses and communities and drive financial inclusion, by providing a platform to innovate, collaborate, and create new business models and marketplaces.

Martin is fanatical about delivering the ultimate customer experience and encourages challenging traditional ways to look at measuring customer satisfaction such as NPS. He feels strongly that disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, predictive analytics and machine learning, can deliver exponential benefits to businesses and marketing organizations to deliver exceptional customer experience. He is a member of the Forbes Communication Council.

Martin has over 25 years in technology marketing. Prior to joining Finastra (formerly Misys) in 2013, he held executive leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Akamai Technologies Inc.

Martin holds a Diploma (BA) in Computer Science from the University of Cooperative Education in Stuttgart/Germany.
