
Maria Mogilnaya
Dr. Maria Mogilnaya is an experienced advisor in digital trade, trade finance innovation and digital supply chain finance delivery. Since January 2024, she has been advising CargoX on the application of its blockchain-based platform in trade finance, with a focus on technology integration, product development and process optimization. Maria leads partnerships with core banking software providers to facilitate the seamless adoption of CargoX’s platform by banks and contributes to product development and marketing strategies to strengthen the platform's market position.
Prior to joining CargoX, Maria led regional expansion and sustainability-linked product development at SupplierPlus, an Estonian fintech specializing in supply chain finance. From 2011 to 2022, she managed the award-winning Green Trade Facilitation Programme at the EBRD and oversaw trade finance business delivery across CEE, Central Asia and North Africa.
Maria holds a PhD in Banking Law and Regulation from De Montfort University and a Diploma in Jurisprudence from Saint-Petersburg State University. In 2022, she became a Certified Fintech Practitioner, receiving one of five Women in Fintech Scholarships from Fintech Diversity Radar and LIBF.
