Falguni Desai
As a corporate strategy, transformation and M&A leader, Falguni has more than 25 years of global experience in the trading, investment banking, capital markets, financial market data and fintech sectors.
At Microsoft she is a Senior Advisor in the Banking & Capital Markets sector, working the world’s largest financial institutions, advising on transformation, value creation and growth plays.
Falguni was most recently at Credit Suisse, where she was the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation within the Equities subdivision. Falguni led digital initiatives focused on talent reskilling, cloud adoption, trading desktop modernization and operating model changes.
Prior to this, Falguni was the Managing Director of Strategy & Growth at BDO, where she led expansion and new consulting service launches aimed at the asset management and private equity sector.
Falguni spent over a decade at Thomson Reuters in several global business strategy and corporate development roles. During her tenure, she led design thinking, new market entry, acquisition due diligence, strategic partnerships and post-merger integration.
Falguni started her career as a M&A investment banker and consultant working at Deloitte, BNP Paribas and IBM.
As an active author and speaker. Her work has appeared in over 75 articles with business media such as Forbes, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, South China Morning Post, TechCrunch, Tech in Asia, Caixin and Fintech Magazine.
Falguni is a Northeast native. Born in New Jersey and raised in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, she now lives in Manhattan. She holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
