Markus is a Partner in McKinsey’s Munich office and co-leads our European Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) practice.

Since joining McKinsey in 2006, he has served regional as well as global banks and capital market infrastructure providers on a range of strategic and transformative topics. Alongside his client work, Markus is leading several knowledge efforts, e.g., on ESG business opportunities in CIB and ESG-related business building.

Markus studied international business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander University (Germany) He also attended second year MBA courses at the Kelley School of Business (Indiana University, USA) He earned a doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in business administration from the Friedrich-Alexander University.
